CLC Overview
CLC is designed to be a holistic program, developing the Spirit, Soul, and Body. From morning chapels to weekly workouts, the whole person is addressed and trained. A variety of courses are taught by Celebration staff and leaders to fulfill this vision. Along with Celebration courses, students will also take foundational Bible courses through Logos Christian College. Our partnership with Logos allows students to actually earn a degree through CLC! Students can earn an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies after 1 year or they can choose to earn a Bachelor Degree in Applied Theology after completing 2 years. For more information on their accreditation go to www.logos.edu/html/accreditation.html
Other ways the students are taught and developed are through their exposure to serving the poor and disadvantaged. Students participate in Celebration’s weekly outreach to Jacksonville’s homeless community as well as two missions trips a year, one domestic and one international. These life changing experiences play a big role in teaching the students in the ways of Jesus, who served and led with such compassion.
A combination of lecture-based classes and a part-time internship serves together to teach and develop students and allows them apply what they learn. Students encounter learning experiences everyday through working in the facilities and administrative departments as well as serving in a specific ministry during their 1st year.
It is our hope that after their first year, if not before, students discover where their God-given giftings line up with their passions. If they choose to continue with a second year, the students have the opportunity to apply for one of these ministries to be their 2nd year Track. The second year is designed for a more intense internship in the students' ministry of choice.
